WMF Pressure Cookers - Do They Stand Up To Scrutiny?
When we buy a pressure cooker, we are as worried about its quality, as with any other product. What factors determine quality, however, varies from product to product. In this article I am going to take a look at the typical features we look for when we buy a pressure cooker, and whether WMF Pressure Cookers satisfy these.
A primary factor we consider is the brand. Just about everyone of us would like a brand that's recognized, that we want to flaunt before our guests (apart from the confidence the brand name signifies). To that extent, a pressure cooker is a lifestyle product. In this aspect, WMF does reasonably. To begin with, it is a leading brand in the country of its original manufacture, Germany. Also, the brand is recognized worldwide.
Can these cookers be handled easily and do they come with an instruction manual that can be easily understood? Here again, these cookers satisfy.
The safety aspect is considered by all as an important factor, esp. in pressure cookers. People are usually worried psychologically about a cooker "exploding" on them. The manufacturers of these cookers claim that they are extremely safe, as they have an easy-to-read cooking indicator. Also, they say that it is not possible to open the cooker till the pressure has subsided, after the pan has cooled. The cooker is also equipped with a safety valve that makes an audible noise when pressure builds up excessively. There is also a provision to release it manually.
All WMF cookers are made of stainless steel, and ergonomically designed with removable handles to facilitate easy cleaning.
From the price point of view, these pressure cookers do offer various price and weight choices to suit different buyers. The manufacturers offer a three year warranty on the cookers.
Overall, these cookers have good features and are reasonably priced, although different online stores could quote different prices.
